These are some keywords (mostly active verbs), that I found from a list on the Johnson C. Smith University website. I have suggested this list, in the past, as a guideline for writing a more effective resume. In my Resume Seminar, we go over common mistakes that many make on their resume. There are certain feckless or passive words that should be avoided in a resume.

Let me give you an example of a bullet point that I see on many resumes:

Great customer service skills.

This is a great skill to possess, however, this can be more effectively communicated by writing something like:
